QBE are proud to support International Women’s Day 2022 and #BreakTheBias aligns with our broader Inclusion of Diversity strategy and our commitment to shaping and growing a culture we can be proud of.
We took bold actions in 2021 which saw us lean into difficult conversations and challenge our processes and practices in order to further accelerate positive change. The launch of our JustBe@QBE campaign emphasised the importance of creating a workplace culture where all our people in all the ways we are different, feel included.
We created a space that allowed open and honest conversation around Menopause to raise awareness and provide support to our employees, regardless of gender; we reduced opportunities for pay inequality by moving away from asking current salary details and embedded our flexible approach to working that is fit for purpose and supportive for all. These are just some of the steps we have taken to #BreakTheBias and help us achieve our target of at least 40% women in leadership by the end of 2025.
QBE have made great progress and we’ll continue to remain focused and committed to sustaining momentum to #BreakTheBias, for an inclusive workplace where everyone can fulfil their ambitions.
